Controversy in the Courts

On the 24th of June, The Pearl Parish courts had an unexpected turn of events, when Emperor Kuzco accused Pacha of extortion, claiming that Pacha refused to help him return to human form unless Kuzco agreed not to build his palace. Numerous witnesses were called to testify, and the Parish Court ultimately found Pacha guilty.

Pacha then appealed the decision to the Supreme Court, which agreed to hear the case. During the appellate hearing, Pacha argued that the original judge was unprepared, having not been briefed or reviewed the evidence and witness lists prior to the trial. After hearing both sides, the Supreme Court dismissed the case on the grounds that the judge failed to adequately prepare. In a statement given to The Daily Magnolia, the Supreme Court resolves, “Judges must prepare at least 15 minutes in advance of their trials and review all witness and evidence lists beforehand.”

This is the first Supreme Court overruling that has taken place at 2025 Louisiana Boys State.
