Although Boys State has just begun, most of the boys are already hungry. The mass majority of citizens did not bring snacks and are finding themselves eager for the next meal. This hunger has forced some citizens to spend mass amounts of money on snacks at the concessions at lunch. “The portions are a bit small. I’m still hungry. I’ve spent $20 on snacks”, Ethan Fredrick of Concordia said. On the other side of the spectrum, some citizens stocked up on the snacks they brought from home. “I’m happy. I didn’t end up eating much at dinner yesterday, so when I got back to my room I feasted”, Joseph Maggio of Cameron stated. Citizens are discovering that snacks are a necessity and not bringing any may be an expensive mistake.
