At Louisiana Boys State, the city banner is a powerful symbol of unity, creativity, and pride for high school juniors forming mock city governments. Citizens enjoy the opportunity to express their creative minds through their banners.
Cane Parish’s Franklin city banner (pictured above) showcases the creativity of citizens of boys state. The symbols of Rasin Cane’s, Bald Eagle, and Bullet Holes represent Louisiana, The United States of America, and Bravery, respectively.
Pictured above is the Cameron City banner and Mayor (Beaux Guidry). When asked about the meaning of the symbols on the city Banner, Guidry responded with, “The meteor represents the universe and the lack of limits on our city’s potential. The dinosaur represents our city’s mascot (Queen Sherron), and the smaller dinosaurs represent our city’s dominance over the other cities in LABS.
