Bogafalaya has been last in just about everything this week at LABS. The Parish got last in volleyball after losing both games that they played by a substantial amount. Boga was also last in dodgeball after losing both games they played. On top of sporting events, Boga has also never won the chanting flag in the morning. Chris Carper says “You know we wake up and do not pee excellence… we need to have more ambition to win.” Throughout the week, JC Chuma would tell Boga to, “Cut the crap.” Some say Boga was not chanting in order to preserve their voices for elections, which may have been the way to go as Boga rolled through the competition in the State office taking home 5 of the 7 positions Friday morning. Additionally, the 5 positions Boga won were the top 5 positions in the State Office. JC Chief Keef of Boga says “I’m super proud of these guys making history here at Boys State. From the very beginning, I saw the potential in them.” JC Keef also says, “Our guys here at Boga are like Lebron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh, except it’s a whole team of people.” Lastly, Mr. Keef says “I also wanted to shout out the entire parish, because I attribute much of our success to our brotherhood bond.” In the end, Boga truly surprised all parishes after taking home such an unexpected win at Boys State. As Drake says, “Started from the bottom now my whole team here.”
