Supreme Court Final Decision!

The prime Supreme Court case about William Dominick Jr. decided whether the 4th and 8th amendments of the constitution were violated. He was convicted of 2nd degree attempted murder for brutalizing an ex-girlfriend inside an RV. For this crime, 15-year-old William was sentenced to 50 years in prison. However, the evidence to convict him was acquired from a spy drone used by the DEA. Due to the evidence being acquired without a warrant, the defense of William made the case that the evidence was not admissible in court. They brought forward key points about how the RV was considered a home and subject to certain privacy protections, as well as how the drone used by the DEA was scarcely available to the public. On the other hand, the prosecution highlighted William’s criminal past as a shoplifter and animal abuser. They also brought up how the RV appeared to be in working order with the exception of some flat tires. The decision, however, came down to the defense’s precedent-based arguments. Against the prosecution’s debate based arguments, the defense held the lead and won half the case. The court ruled unanimously that William’s 4th amendment rights had been violated, and he would be retried in a district court. However, the court did not rule on William’s 8th amendment rights. Here’s what the defense and prosecution had to say about this monumental decision.

“Free my man he ain’t do nothing.”

Public Defender Conklin

This was a massive let down from several of the district attorneys. This will now allow Dominique Jr. to walk free and terrorize women across the state.”

District Attorney Youngblood
